When you’ve been in business for 23 years, you get to do a lot of reflecting. At Beaute & Be, our story has always been entwined with YOU – our wonderful clients.

Four years ago, we made (another) big move. Trading the upstairs serenity for the lively heartbeat of the street below; we’ve reconnected with the world in the most delightful ways. Returning to the more open and accessible ground-level space, I rediscovered the joys of unexpected hellos, spontaneous waves, and grinning back at the world. It was a rekindling of old habits, reminding me of the beauty in everyday interactions. It felt like the reunion with the community we needed after the disconnection the world has felt over the past few years.

While the location feels more social, our core remains unchanged. If you’ve visited us recently, you’ve probably noticed our ever-evolving interiors. I’ll admit, I can’t resist changing things up! Regular visitors chuckle, noting “yet another shuffle in our arrangement”. I ask myself sometimes if this ceaseless forward momentum and unending energy for change is possibly an echo of the Reiki energies that shape us all.

Not too long ago, a Feng Shui audit graced us with a lovely curtain at our doorstep. Initially, I was hesitant, but to my surprise, it offered a cocoon of warmth and privacy. We have always encouraged our clients to farewell the demands of the world behind them and ‘just be’ during their appointments, and the curtain truly personifies this.

The audit also suggested… wait for it… a fountain

Yes, you read that right. A fountain! Where in the world was I going to find a suitable fountain for our space? After an exhaustive search and a significant dent in my wallet, I located the perfect one. Yet, the universe decided to test our commitment to Feng Shui just a tad more. It took months to arrive, and there were moments of doubt, wondering if it would fit or if I’d have a new decorative piece for my living room. But fate had other plans. The fountain finally arrived, found its harmonious spot in our front window, and became an unexpected centrepiece. And guess what? We’re totally Team Fountain now. It’s been a soothing addition that we didn’t know we needed until we had it.

We’ve all come to love these special touches, yet true to our spirit, tomorrow might unveil a new surprise!

The larger expanse downstairs has allowed us to grow our team. We welcomed our budding apprentice, Kenesha, who under our wings is blossoming into a fantastic therapist. Armani, our new addition, is embracing her training, wielding her magical touch. Erin and Kimberley, our beloved senior therapists, are back after welcoming the newest members to their families.

With the integration of HIFU, LED Light Therapy, and our partnership with Heritage Healers, we’ve taken another step in ensuring we’re your go-to destination for complete wellbeing – be it skin, body, or spirit.

And speaking of spirit, Reiki remains our cornerstone. It’s more than a service; it’s a way of life at Beaute & Be. We cherish every session that helps our clients rejuvenate, rebalance, and reclaim their best selves. Reiki Seminars are big on our radar as we enter this next chapter, empowering you to embrace the power of Reiki both in and out of the treatment room.

Let’s be honest: for all of us, the past few years have had their challenges in some way or another. The occasional bumps in the road and the world’s unpredictability, but we’ve grown, learned, and emerged stronger with every hurdle. Most importantly, we’ve had the privilege of your company, trust, and loyalty.
